Our Social Hubs run from 10am-3pm across 3 locations. Appointment only.
Our Clowne hub has its very own pool table, chill area and kitchen facilities. Easy access to bus stops on Creswell road and a short walk from supermarkets, library and more.
We hire a room at Coal Aston Village hall, fully accessible and offers a larger function room t

Our Ripley hub at Waingroves community centre is also fully accessible with a bus stop just outside. Spacious and a short drive to supermarkets and high street.

Our members meet with friends, make new friends, socialise, have a voice and make their own choices whilst building independent living skills and self confidence. We get up to a variety of activities including sports, pool, baking, trips, crafts and much more!

We love bringing people together and that goes beyond our usual social hub and evening club hours. From day trips to weekends away, Just Good Friends Club offers safe, friendly outings where everyone can enjoy new places, new experiences and make some great memories along the way!
In 2025 we visited Manchester for a weekend away for sight
We love bringing people together and that goes beyond our usual social hub and evening club hours. From day trips to weekends away, Just Good Friends Club offers safe, friendly outings where everyone can enjoy new places, new experiences and make some great memories along the way!
In 2025 we visited Manchester for a weekend away for sight seeing and to see Mary Poppins in theatre and even got to meet some of the cast!
Our first day trip of the year was to Xscape Yorkshire for a variety of activities such as an escape room, bowling, karaoke and much more!
Our second day trip was to the Coronation Street Experience, our members loved walking around the sets and learning more about behind the scenes!
We also had a trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park in the summer for beautiful walks and visit all their wonderful animals!
In September we had another weekend away to Harry Potter World and West Midlands Safari Park our members loved seeing the animals and immersing themselves in the wizarding world!
To finish off the year we have an upcoming trip to York Christmas Market for some festive sightseeing and shopping!

Our evening clubs offer a variety of activities chosen by our members as a group; this could be baking, games nights, crafting or evenings out and much more. Our evening clubs run weekly across different venues in Pinxton, Clowne, Chesterfield, Worksop and Bolsover between 7pm and 9pm.

Just Good Friends Nightclub Event is on the 1st Tuesday of every month. It is a friendly and inclusive evening. We can't offer one-to-one support, so if you need assistance your friend or carer will need to buy a ticket too. Entry is £5 cash only, at the door. Fully accessible for Wheelchairs.

Throughout the year you will find us popping up with stalls at coffee mornings, markets and more. We also host some events at our community garden and throw our members an annual Christmas party. Keep an eye out on our calendar or social media for more details.

From lending a hand at fundraising stalls and garden events to day or weekend trips away! Your support helps us bring friendship, fun and companionship to our members. Volunteering is flexible, rewarding and a great way to meet new people.
